Ralph Gracie’s 14 year old phenom Joseph Guerrero displayed a world class performance taking three first place gold medals at last weekends Gracie Invitational. The event was hosted by Cesar Gracie. The most notable win was placing first in the Adult Blue Belt 155lb division.
Joseph began the competition competing as a Green Belt in the Juvenile Division Gi and No Gi. Joseph won every match, one match ended with the opponent passing out from a lethal crucifix & omoplata combination. At that point Caio Terra asked Joseph to compete with the Adult Blue Belts in the 155 division (Joseph weighs 125lbs).
Joseph accepted the challenge and went on to defeat two adult opponents placing 1st.
Joseph has trained under Ralph Gracie for 7 years along side his Father, Brothers and Uncles. Along with his family Joseph enjoys competing and traveling to various tournaments. Joseph has even had the honor of receiving 1st Place Medals from Helio Gracie himself. Joseph also took 1st place in his division at this years 2010 Kids Pan Ams.
Joseph has been described as a technical fighter with the heart of a lion.
