FOX SPORTS WORLD CANADA TO BROADCAST “IFL WORLD GRAND PRIX” FINALS LIVE ON DECEMBER 29

Undefeated Canadian phenom Chris Horodecki’s quest for the lightweight crown among the titles on the line from Mohegan Sun in Connecticut; Canadian coverage joins live HDNet Coverage in the United States for championship night.

NEW YORK, December 10, 2007 – The International Fight League (OTC.BB: IFLI) and Alfred Haber Distribution (AHDI) today announced that Fox Sports World Canada will air the “IFL World Grand Prix” finals live from Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on December 29 from 9:30-11:30 p.m. EST/6:30-8:30 pm. PST. This coincides with live coverage in the U.S. on HDNet, and follows up on Fox Sports World Canada’s coverage of the World Grand Prix semifinals from Chicago on Nov. 3.

Five championship belts will be on the line, the most MMA championships ever to be contested on one evening in North America. Among the standout bouts are a rematch of what many consider the Fight of the Year between unbeaten (11-0) Canadian sensation Chris “The Polish Hammer” Horodecki (London, Ontario) and Shad Lierley (Seattle) in the lightweight (155-lb.) division and the featherweight (145-lb.) showdown between Wagnney Fabiano (Richmond Hill, Ontario/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and undefeated challenger L.C. Davis (Kansas City, Mo.).

World champion “Bas” Rutten, Kenny Rice and Ron Kruck will call all the action.

“Fox Sports World Canada and CanWest MediaWorks have been great partners in expanding live coverage of the IFL World Grand Prix to Canada,” said IFL president and CEO Jay Larkin. “This broadcast moves us closer to our goal of presenting all of our events live to as wide an audience as possible in North America.”

Other championship bouts to be held on Dec. 29 include undefeated Benji “Razor” Radach against Matt “Suave” Horwich for the middleweight (185-lb.) belt, Long Island native Jay Hieron against Brazilian sensation Delson Heleno for the welterweight (170-lb.) crown and Roy “Big Country” Nelson of Las Vegas against Brazilian Olympian Antoine Jaoude for the heavyweight (265-lb.) title.
