Future Matches UFC Fight Night 62 had Demian Maia picking up a win over an undefeated fighter after nearly a year layoff. Where does he go in the Welterweight division?

Future Matches UFC Fight Night 62: Winners

Demian Maia vs. Jake Ellenberger

Both of these fighters were once thought to be contenders but losses have set them back. Only one can reattain that “contender” tag and a fight between the two will determine who gets it back.

Erick Silva vs. Ben Saunders

His was the fight that was supposed to happen before Saunders was injured. That gave Silva the chance to pick up his only two fight win streak in the UFC. Saunders is on the same win streak and the two would still make for an amazing fight for the fans.

Leonardo Santos vs. Tony Martin

This was one of the worst calls ever in the Octagon. Allow Martin to get the win the ref took away from him for no reason.

Amanda Nunes vs. Sarah Kaufman

Nunes and Kaufman were supposed to fight last year and then Nunes was on a loss. The issue here is Nunes is a great fighter but wilts once people do not give up under her pressure. Kaufman can see if she has really changed her style in a match up between the two.

Gilbert Burns vs. Josh Thomson

This was the fight Burns was supposed to have until Thomson was injured and Burns took on a late replacement. He still pulled out the win at the last minute. Now at 3-0 in the UFC, give him a chance to secure himself a spot in the top 15.

Kevin Souza vs. Dennis Siver

Souza has won three straight including two great knockouts. Siver is securing a spot in the top 15 for no reason. If he wants to keep it let him take on Souza and see if he can come out with a win.
