Glover Teixeira still dreams with Jeff Monson

Glover Teixeira became famous in Brazil for being the first athlete to win Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, who had defeated Rogerio “Minotouro” Nogueira and Ricardo Arona. In addition, he was a constant figure in Chuck Liddell’s training in USA.

Back to Brazil, the fighter trained with guys like Pedro Rizzo, Thales Leites and Vitor Miranda in Rio de Janeiro, and scored two consecutive wins in Bitetti Combat. After winning Leonardo “Chocolate” in the fourth edition of the event, he passed by Joaquim “Mamute” Ferreira last Thursday, in Bitetti Combat 6.

"Ferreira is a great fighter", Glover said after the fight, "He accepted the fight in the last minute, proved to be a very tough guy. So I told him that he won a friend, for accept this fight on short time. The event was very good, everything went well and I had this great victory".

In the last two editions of the event, Glover should have faced Jeff Monson, but the American can not travel to Brazil, because he had to solve problems with American justice. The Brazilian hopes that this confrontation happen one day.

"Let’s see, we have a fight scheduled for March, we’ll see if he comes. He is also a great fighter, I respect and I hope it works out and this fight happens. I’m training hard and ready for anyone who wants to come”.

Glover also said that he intends to return to fight outside of Brazil in 2010.

"I’m regulating my visa, so I hope to resolve this as soon as possible and, God willing, back to fight out of Brazil this year."
