June 21 2008 at the Time Warner Cable Arena – Charlotte NC will be hosting the largest MMA event since the UFC in 94 With the highly anticipated fight between Jeff “The Snowman” Monson vs. Kevin “The Monster” Randleman. After a long Lay off. Kevin “The Monster” Randleman fought his way to a 3 round unanimous decision against Ryo Kawamura. Now Jeff Monson didn’t fare so well with the tough Josh Barnett who pulled out the unanimous win against Jeff. Will the Snowman Freeze the Monster’s return to the top or will the Monster turn up the heat and melt Monson away as he did with Cro Crop.
Then there is also Murilo Bustamante who has not fought in the USA since beating Matt Lindland for the UFC title. Murilo is very excited to return to the USA and show the world he is one of the best 185lb fighters in the world. But to prove that Murilo will have to battle Josh Haynes who on the other hand is wanting to bring the Pain and prove he also deserves a spot at the Ultimate Grand Prix that will be held sometime next year by Godz of War.
Also signed and ready to go is Luiz Azeredo From the Elite Chute Box academy in Brazil to fight the ever so dangerous Kamal Shalorus. Luiz Azeredo, a former PRIDE fighter and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. One of the few to have beaten the so called unstoppable UFC middle weight Champion Anderston Silvia. Will now try to Stop Kamal Shalorus as he places his undefeated record as a professional MMA fighter.
