For the first time in history, Jordan is sending five of it’s finestJiu-Jitsu athletes to participate in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship,commonly known as the Mundials. It will be the first participatin ofan Arab country in the championship. The competitors/ team memberswill include, Zaid Mirza (Founder of the Brazilian Jiu-JitsuFederation of Jordan,) Jonatas Gurgel, Zaid Abu Soud, Zaid Shaqman andMohammad Mirza. The competion is annually hosted in Brazil by theInternational Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation; however, this year, itwill be held in Long Beach California. As the Mundials are one of themost prominent BJJ tournaments in the wolrd, there is no doubt thatthese atheletes will hold their heads high and give it their bestshot, as they prepare for the tough road ahead.
