Memorial Day Weekend Battle Set to Determine the Future Stars of Mixed Martial Arts

Event set for the Tropicana Hotel & Casino on May 23 LAS VEGAS – May 13, 2008 – More than two dozen of the top up-and-coming amateur mixed martial arts fighters will take to the ring at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino on Friday, May 23 to battle for the right to be named a true future star of the sport. After a sold out debut event, hundreds of excited fans had to be turned away. Tuff-N-Uff again brings amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) to the Las Vegas Strip where future glory can be won or lost on a single tap-out. “Our last event was one of the largest amateur MMA events the country has seen,” said Barry Meyer, President of Tuff-N-Uff, promoters of the event. “There were tough battles and plenty of hard-hitting MMA action in our last event and that was only the debut of the KICK sanctioned amateur MMA Tuff-N-Uff promoted events and we’re expecting plenty of exciting bouts in the May 23 fight.” The Fight Card, subject to change, features 15 bouts, including Heavyweight and Female fights. “Some of the winners from our last event are going to return to really prove they are the future stars of MMA,” Meyer added. “MMA fans should get their tickets early to make sure they don’t miss out on seeing the real future stars of this exciting sport.” Tickets for the event are priced starting at only $25 and are available at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino box office at 800-521-8767.
