I have had the privelage of getting to know Rodolfo personally and he is one of the toughest and most humble people I know. When I met him I was an eighteen year old purple belt and he was a brown belt and I couldn’t believe it when he told me that he was my same age. Now we’re both twenty two and I’m amazed at everything he’s already managed to accomplish. I started training at ten years old and he started training at thirteen and seeing all of his success is really motivating to me. He deserves it all and much much more.
Here is a video of Rodolfo coaching me in a purple belt superfight against Newton from Ralph Gracie at a small Jiu-Jitsu by the Sea tournament at our Claudio Franca academy right next to my house in Santa Cruz, CA in 2009 (the match begins about halfway through the video, after the match with Strikeforce fighter Billy Evangelista). This took place during the month that Rodolfo spent here with me at my house in Santa Cruz. Check it out!!
