Hey guys!! A couple weeks back I was given the honor of fighting in the Black Belt Grand Prix at Renzo Gracie’s World Jiu-Jitsu Expo. I had five matches and ended up making it all the way to the semi-finals, making for probably the best performance of my first year at black belt. I had two submissions, one win on points, one loss to Jackson Sousa (video below) by 3-3 on points and 2-1 on advantages and then unfortunately I lost the semi-final to a really tough and humble competitor in James Puopolo by 4-0.
