“Ninja” submits at Bitetti Combat; Teixeira wins by TKO

 Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL – Former EliteXC Champion and Pride veteran, Murilo “Ninja” Rua, submitted Arturo “Tutu” Arcemendes with an arm-triangle choke in the main event of Bitetti Combat, last Friday, in Rio de Janeiro. Mauricio Rua´s brother recovered of a knockdown and submitted his opponent with 1:27 of first round.

 

Considered the nº1 in Brazil at 93kg, Glover Teixeira had another great presentation. Fighting against Thiago Monaco, Teixeira, a sparring partner of Pedro Rizzo and Thales Leites, doesn’t had work to put Monaco on the ground and punishing him with punches, winning by TKO.   

 

But, even the great fights, the biggest moment of Bitetti Combat 7 was the tribute to Mauricio Shogun. The new UFC Light-Heavy weight champion was very applauded for the audience.
