www.thefightworkspodcast.comFor those of you in the Mighty 600,000 who live in the United States, you know what it means to stuff ourselves with food on Thanksgiving, which will be celebrated on Thursday. In this episode of The FightWorks Podcast we are going to celebrate by stuffing our ears with more Brazilian jiu-jitsu information than ever. This week we will talk about…

The rumors were true! Royler Gracie has relocated to San Diego. On today’s show Royler tells us why he chose to come to the United States again, and of his intentions to offer seminars and private classes. Currently he has no plans to add to the long list of BJJ schools in San Diego. (If your academy would like to contact Royler for privates or seminars you can do so through the Royler Gracie David Adiv website.)

Big news for submission grappling fans: the ADCC submission grappling world championship announced yesterday that Fedor Emelianenko will be competing in their 2009 tournament! Kid Peligro, who authored the official announcement of Emelianenko’s participation joins us on the show to discuss the impact of this news.

We continue our multi-part series on Brazilian jiu-jitsu in Asia! This week: China!

Dave Camarillo, of Guerilla Jiu-Jitsu has taken up blogging. We bring Camarillo on the show to discuss a recent post on the maturation of a BJJ practitioner over time, culture of BJJ academies, and more. Plus, Dave addresses some of the recent chatter on the internet about his appearance in Renzo Gracie: Legacy.

Finally, as if that was not enough, the dessert in our BJJ feast this week will be the introduction of what I hope becomes a new segment here on The FightWorks Podcast called Ask A BJJ Ref. This time around Brazilian jiu-jitsu referee Andrew Correa, who has been the referee at the ADCCs and International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation World Championships, will answer a couple of questions I received from you guys out there. This time around we start off with a discussion of advantage points in BJJ competition.

Don’t forget that you can contact us to get your questions answered here on The FightWorks Podcast: BJJ Radio too! Just call (877) 247-4662!
