Regions Biggest Annual MMA Event set for Saturday Night!3 Pro Title Fights Featured at Fight Nite in the Flats IV

6/6/07 – Cleveland, OH: One of the Midwest’s biggest and most recognized annual MMA events is just over 24 hours away as the NAAFS returns to Cleveland for “Fight Nite in the Flats 4”, a taped for TV event set for the Plain Dealer Pavilion this Saturday night. The NAAFS will crown a new Pro Series Lightweight Champion on June 7th when two-time UFC veteran Jason Dent puts his undefeated record at Plain Dealer Pavilion on the line against Team Predator’s Nick Sorg. The entire landscape of the Pro Series Lightweight Division changed when Sorg convincingly defeated then-champion Torrance Taylor in a non-title fight at Caged Fury 4. Dent, who lost to Taylor at Caged Fury 3 in a 5 Round war that was voted 2007 Fight of the Year by NAAFS fans, was seemingly out of the title picture. However, a scheduling dispute forced the NAAFS to strip Taylor of the belt and now the top two contenders will meet to crown a new champion. Can Jason “Dynamite” Dent remain undefeated at Fight Nite in the Flats and add the NAAFS Pro Series Lightweight Title to his list of ever growing accomplishments or will Nick Sorg prove to the world that his victory at Caged Fury 4 was in fact no fluke? We’ll all find out June 7th. The NAAFS Pro Series Heavyweight Title will be on the line at Fight Nite in the Flats IV when James Sendo (7-1) faces the unbeaten “Cujo” Joe McCall (5-0) for the right to be called champion. Sendo is no stranger to being the underdog and has proven that he can thrive in that role, most recently handing highy touted Jason Riley his first loss in Riley’s own hometown at NAAFS Columbus Night of Pain 2. Now Sendo has the chance to make history repeat itself when he takes on another undefeated warrior in Joe McCall on the NAAFS’ grandest stage. The NAAFS Pro Series Middleweight division will crown a new champion at Fight Nite in the Flats IV when Mitch Whitesel (11-6) of Wreckroom Athletics takes on Johnny Soeder (5-0-1) of Strong Style Fight Team for the vacant title. Whitesel, a former Gladiator Fight Series Middleweight Champion, is no stranger to high profile title bouts. Soeder has been sidelined for almost a year with injury and now looks to make triumphant return, culminating with championship gold. Once again, two of the top in camps in the region will go head-to-head to determine who is the best, this time in the Pro Series Middleweight division! Will Whitesel reclaim his spot atop the Middleweight Division or will Soeder rise above to become the new champion? All questions will be answered at Fight Nite in the Flats IV! In all 17 bouts are scheduled for what may be the NAAFS’ most competitive and anticipated card to date including the first ever NAAFS female bout and more. Fight Nite in the Flats IV will air on the home of the NAAFS, Sports Time Ohio regionally and nationally via Direct TV and the Dish Network.
