Held just outside Hobart CBD on the 26th & 27th April 2014 – the Tasmanian Brazilian Jiu Jitsu OPEN promises to be the premier Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition in the state. The event will hold both GI-Weight & Absolute plus NOGI-Weight & Absolute White, Blue, Purple, Brown and Black belt divisions.
The beneficiaries of our event will not only be BJJ fighters and fans but also the ‘Fight Cancer Foundation’ whom will receive desperately needed funds raised with your support from our event.
The popularity of our event has grown exponentially in recent weeks, thus attracting many mainland sponsors such as Fight FactoryMelbourne & ‘Budo Fight Gear’. For the first time ever in Tasmania, fighters will be rewarded for their efforts with BJJ related prizes and giveaways!
With help from numerous sponsors already backing this brilliant event, there has been an enormous amount of interest coming from both local and mainland BJJ fighters from all over Australia! With the addition of the AGIG (Australia Girls In Gi) making the trip down from the mainland, there is sure to be an extremely talented women’s division!
