Walking into the cage that night Cully would appear confident as ever against a focused Junior Merkle (2-1) and as the bell would sound it would be Merkle that would push the pace early on. Using his wrestling skills Merkle would secure a takedown and make Cully to work off his back. This would force Cully to show his versatility as he would show some great defensive Jiu-jitsu skill against a number of Merkle submission attempts. As the fight would wear on though Merkle would start to tire and Cully would take full advantage landing some brutal punches after a failed leg lock attempt that would force the ref to stop the fight giving Cully the TKO victory.
In the co main event a battle of light heavyweights Rafael Davis (3-1) would force Brandon Michels (0-1) to submit in less then one round of action. Using a classic grappler game plan Davis would score the takedown early pass Michels guard and secure the mount position. From there Davis would posture up and land some heavy punches that would make Michels tap out with less then forty seconds left in the round.
Total Fighting Alliance that night would crown a new 145lbs champion in Jeff martin (5-2) as he would submit Martin Bautista (6-4) in a four round war. Throughout the fight Bautista would be the one to push the pace putting Martin down on his back continuously as he looked to set up his strikes from the top position. Martin on the other hand would show his experience and use defensive Jiu-jitsu skills his keep his opponent at bay for most of the fight. In the forth though it would be Martin who would turn up the intensity and use a failed single leg attempt from Bautista to set up a guillotine choke that would force the Team Oyama fighter to tap out.
In middleweight action Brandon Quaid (1-0) would dominate new comer Anthony Smith with striking skill and positional control that would give the Unbreakable fighter the unanimous decision victory.
Former Pangaea Fight promoter Jamie Walsh would make a successful debut against Julio Sotomayor (1-1) that night. For three rounds Walsh would use footwork, punches and kicks to out point his opponent giving him the unanimous decision victory.
In earlier bouts both Jeremy Umphries (1-0) and new comer Diego Bautista would use the rear naked choke to end their bouts with John Lopez (0-1) and David Jalberet.
Finally on the card Damian Stibble would take out fellow new comer Tim Harding via TKO in only thirty seconds with a barrage of punches and kicks that would force the ref to stop the fight.
