Sityodtong Fighters in New England ActionAndres Jeudi defeated a tough Fairtex veteran fighter on November 9th at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut as part of MuayThai Fight Night, produced by Justin Blair Promotions. Andres continues to impress us all as he took out Wade Willet, a top level fighter. This win keeps his undefeated streak going at 6-0.
Sityodtong Muay Thai Fighters were all victorious at Muay Thai Madness. The Joe Stagner event was held on January 12th at Club Lido in Revere, MA. Congratulations to the fighters not only for their win, but their courage as well. They all made us proud. Stan Schultz won via a 3rd rnd split decision. Dat Tran won via KO in rnd 1. John Johnston won via 3rd rnd split decision. Andres Jeudi (picture, bottom) won via rnd 1 TKO.
Also victorious on the home front was Greg Rebello (picture, top right), who defeated Cody Marandola on January 19th. As a result, Greg won the New England Reality Fighting Light Heavyweight title.
On March 15th in Plymouth, MA, Full Force Productions will present Untamed 19. Sityodtong will be represented by Eddy Saldana, Chris Cape and Scott Rehm.
Kru Mark to Be Featured on Discovery Channel
Kru Mark DellaGrotte and Ultimate Fighter Kenny Florian will be featured on Time Warp, a Discovery Channel program, that will reveal the unseen in super slow-motion. Kenny and Mark’s segment will run 8-10 minutes. The technology behind the show has never been used in any type of programming.
Watch Time Warp on March 18th at 10:30pm and again on March 20th at 8:30pm on the Discovery Channel. The show will reair on the Science Channel at a latter date. Watch a Preview Clip
Sityodong Fighters Win Big in UFC BattlesUFC fighters Marcus Davis and Jorge Rivera were both victorious overseas at UFC 80 Rapid Fire at the Metro Radio Arena in Manchester England Jan 19th. Jorge stopped Kendall Grove via TKO at 1:20 in the first rnd while Marcus KOed Jess Liaudin at 1:04 of the 1st rnd.
After the fight Macus said, “I just show up and I fight. Mark (DellaGrotte) has the plan; he’s in control. I listen. Mark’s there, he walks me through what to do and you know I’m just always prepared.”
Patrick Cote continued the 9 straight win streak for Sityodtong on January 23rd. Cote defeated Drew Mcfedries by TKO at 1:44 in the first rnd at Ultimate Fight Night 12 at the Palms in Las Vegas, NV.
Marcus and Jorge will fight next at UFC 85 in London, England. At this time, their opponents are unknown.
Sityodtong Camp Active for Upcoming UFC Fights
Kenny Florian (10-3) will step back into the Octagon on April 2nd as the Main Event of UFC Fight Night 13 which will be held at the Broomfield Event Center in Colorado. Kenny will face fellow Bostonian Joe Lauzon (15-3), who is one of the top up-and-commers in the lightweight division.
This will be a great fight for Kenny as Joe has a very solid all around game. At UFC 63, Joe defeated Jens Pulver, the former UFC lightweight Champion. Ultimate Fight Night 13 will air live on Spike TV starting at 7pm ET/PT.
Also training at Sityodtong is Travis Lutter (12-4), who will take on former UFC Champion Rich Franklin at UFC 83. The event will be held on April 19 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
