TESTIMONIALS

Murilo Bustamante (UFC Champion & BJJ World Champion), co-founder of BTT: “I’m very happy to help Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu development in other countries. That’s why foreigners practitioners are more than welcome at BTT. Personally, I was very impressed with participants development in this small period of time”. I’d like to invite all to enthusiasts in Martial Arts studies to join us at BTT Training Center. It’ll be a pleasure to host you in the most beautiful city of the world”.

Rune Brinckmeyer (White Belt) – DENMARK: “JJ Camp promised a chance to roll with some of the best BJJ players and delivered. BTT provided a rare opportunity to train with really skilled people that are on the top of their game. They managed to present a friendly and relaxed environment, without ever compromising training focus and a serious approach to the learning process. I found the instructors highly inspirational, the focus on technique, form and training drills to be top-notch. Instructors and students of the academies had every intention to make me a better player, showing attention to the fact that people are different, and thus needs to strengthen different parts of their game.

Definitely a camp I would like to return to! It met and even exceeded my highest hopes for it, obviously with respect to BJJ, but also in terms of learning a little about how cariocas (the people of Rio) go about important business such as beach- and party activities as well! Coming as a White Belt, I got away with a lot of insight on how the landscape of BJJ looks, and I am eager to explore it given this new knowledge. I’ll be back!”

Johnny Zemouli (promoted to Blue Belt) – Cannes, FRANCE: “I would like thanks everybody for this Camp, I improved my skills so much. Brazilian are so friendly and the atmosphere so cool. This camp is not good only for jiu-jitsu but also to live like a brazilian and fell like a carioca (natural from Rio de Janeiro). Thank you to everyone and you’re all welcome in France”. * After the JiuJitsuCamp, Johnny decided to stay one more month in Rio and improved more and more, we had no doubt…promoted him to a BTT Blue Belt. Congrats, Johnny!

Ethan Day (Purple Belt) – Kansas City (USA): “I am a purple belt from the United States currently living in Ipanema and training at BTT in Rio. Since I arrived four months ago, I couldn’t be happier with the quality of instruction I’ve received here at BTT. I had always heard that the level of Jiu-Jitsu in Rio was the highest in the world and while training at BTT, I’ve come to understand why. In every class there is a wide variety of levels from beginners to seasoned black belts and the instructors do an excellent job of understanding the technical needs of everyone in class. The precise attention to detail, level of competition, and instruction that I have received at the BTT academy has been above my expectations.

I had always wanted to train Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil and visit Rio de Janeiro since I began training over five years ago. Before arriving, I didn’t speak any Portuguese or know anything about Rio. I was relieved when several instructors and students who spoke English were able to help me communicate, find a place to stay, and show me around the city. BTT is right in between Ipanema and Leblon. It’s one of the best areas in Rio to stay in for safety, food and beaches. In addition to the training, everyone here has treated me really well and I’ve always felt welcomed and accepted as part of the team.
I’ve had a completely positive experience. I’ve trained with and talked to many of the BTT Camp participants who felt the same way I did about the training and their experiences in Rio with the Brazilian Top Team. The BTT camp is an ideal vacation for training Jiu-Jitsu and experiencing Rio de Janeiro.”

Chris Cowboy (Purple Belt) – San Diego, California – USA: “Thank you for the opportunity and hospitality you all showed me while I was in Brazil. It was an AMAZING time. This was my 3rd trip to Brasil and by far the most fun and informative BJJ experience I have ever had. I left the camp with many incredible memories of the people and places that we met. The level of all of the instructors and facilities were the best!!! I left with so many new techs it was like being at an epic BJJ seminar everyday…The camp structure and information that was presented to us daily was also incredible. Everything was laid out perfectly everyday in clear and concise instructions and we were kept extremely busy. The hotel and activities were great and more than we expected. I would HIGHLY recommend this camp to anyone that wants to truly experience Rio and take their game to the next level! Don’t miss out on this experience! “

Mohammed Abdul-la (White Belt) – Oberhausen, GERMANY: “The academy is perfect, excellent instructors and very friendly. I like the training also, I like the way you to it, following your routine, learning techniques and rolling a lot. JiuJitsuCamp is also perfect. If I have time at 4th edition I will be here again. Thank you very much for everything. I had a very nice time and I hope to see you soon.”

Robert Hugus (Black Belt) – Plattsburg, New York – USA: “I would definitely come for a 4th edition and I am going to recommend it to my friends. The training and attitudes of everyone at your school is excellent. We felt like a part of the team. Maybe next time I can set up a week long visit with my girlfriend to come with me.”

Mike Saint (White Belt) – Aberdeen, SCOTLAND: “I think that what amazed me the most about the whole experience is that you are training with world class fighters and you are treated as an equal. Everyone is very friendly and extremely generous with their time, everyone I met was happy to help go over techniques.
The accommodation is excellent and you have ample opportunity to spend time in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It really is an experience not to be missed.”

Cliff Keltner (Purple Belt) – San Diego, California – USA: “BTT Camp went far and beyond what I expected for my two weeks in Brazil. The camp is extremely organized and you get to train at some of the best academies in Rio. The staff and instructors are professional and make you feel welcome as soon as you get off the plane. Between the training, tours, nightlife, seminars and competition, you definitely get the most for your money. This is a great camp for the first-timer to Brazil as well as the seasoned traveler. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone involved in brazilian jiu-jitsu and I plan on attending next years camp as well.”

Morris Williams (Blue Belt) – Higley, Arizona – USA: “I thought the BJJ camp was outstanding. I enjoyed the training, as well as meeting some of the top BJJ players and MMA fighters. The instruction was top notch. From the privates to the seminars. I would definitely recommend this camp to any serious Jiu Jitsu player”. * Morris won 3 fights (submitting 2) becoming International Master Champion!
