Muzio de Angelis
From OTMWiki
Bio
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Muzio De Angelis started training Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 5 by initiative of his father Pierino de Angelis (black belt, graduated by Master João Alberto Barreto).
In 1988, 16 years-old Muzio was taken by his father to Academia Corpo Quatro in Copacabana where he trained with Master Sylvio Behring, one of the greatest Jiu-Jitsu teachers of all times. After his Master’s moving to São Paulo, Muzio started training with Roberto Traven in Academia Strike and from this moment on, his life changed forever.
Against his fathers will, who wanted to have a son graduated in Accountings, Muzio dedicated himself to Jiu-Jitsu teaching all day long and participating in the main competitions.
He was champion more than once in all the belts and in August 2005 reached one of his greatest targets which was to get 100 medals, becoming one of the greatest competitors with more medals in Jiu-Jitsu.
Muzio received his black belt from Roberto Traven on December 1st 1994, at the age of 22.
Persevering, Muzio managed to conciliate classes and competitions with college in Universidade Estácio de Sá where he graduated in Physical Education in 1999.
