Robson 'Robinho' Moura

Nova Uniao 2nd Degree Black Belt. He is considered by many to be the most technical person ever produced by the Nova Uniao Team. There are very few people who have had the competition success that Robson has had. Robson is a 6 time World Champion and has beaten some of the best in the sport. Robson also has enjoyed some MMA success in the Shooto Japan organization even holding a win over their current champion Mamoru Yamaguchi at Shooto Treasure Hunt 10 on 9/16/2002. Robson spent much of 2005 and 2006 teaching BJJ in the United states and opened a school In Newark Delaware in October of 2006.
Robinho currently resides and teaches in Newark, Delaware. This academy Elite Brazilian Jiu Jitsu [1] grew quickly and has achievedsignificant success for such a young school. He is one of a select few that continues to compete and demonstrate his mastery in addition to teaching. Now in his 18th year of continual training, Robson left behind his acadamies in Brazil to be run by his accomplished black belts to bring his expertise and experience to the U.S.
many of Robson Moura's accomplishments are well known and documented as he is quite famous in BJJ circles. In 2007 he won an unprecidented 7th World Championship (6 IBBJF & 1 CBJJF). He also won the 2007 pan American and 2007 U.S. Nationals sponsored by Grapplers quest.
Robson Moura holds a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under world renowned master Andre Pederneiras. Robson attained the rank of 1st degree black belt at the age of 18!
In addition to Elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Robson directs two academies in Brazil that are run by his accomplished black belt instructors.
