The main event between Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock was originally placed on hold due to Ortiz's knee injury during his last bout, and UFC President Dana White confirmed on The Carmichael Dave Show on 1140 KHTK Sacramento radio that Ortiz would be replaced by Forrest Griffin.[2] It was later revealed Ortiz has a fractured fibula and not an ACL tear as originally feared. Therefore, Ortiz has decided to go ahead with the fight against Ken Shamrock as originally planned and that is the new main event for the show. [3] Dana White also announced that Tim Sylvia will defend the UFC Heavyweight Title against Andrei Arlovski, a match requested by Sylvia, the new champion.[4] Joe Stevenson announced he would be competing at the PPV in the Lightweight division against seasoned veteran, Yves Edwards. [5] MMA Weekly has reported that veteran Hermes Franca, Lightweight champion of WEC and AFC, will be making his return the UFC in the lightweight division against Roger Huerta. [6] The event is sponsored by Xyience. [edit] Announced matchupsMain Card:
