World Series of Fighting 24 Predictions: Main Card

Jon Fitch (26-7-1) vs. Yushin Okami (30-9-0)
This fight is about more than a title shot, it is about staying relevant. Fitch and Okami left the UFC as one of the best fighters in their respective divisions, but their WSOF careers have not gone too well. Fitch has gone 2-2 and Okami has gone 1-1. Still, Okami is going to be bigger, has competent grappling, better striking and has shown to still have less declining skills than Fitch. Okami by decision.

Blagoy Ivanov (12-1-0) vs. Derrick Mehmen (19-6-0)
In a Heavyweight title fight, Ivanov puts his title on the line against Mehmen. Ivanov has only lost once in a Bellator fight by submission, but he is competent on the ground withal of his 12 wins coming by submission with another four finishes by TKO. Lehman is more of a striker with 11 of his 19 wins coming by way of TKO. Unfortunately, Ivanov’s black belt in Sambo and judo will carry him to a victory. Ivanov by submission round three.

Vinny Magalhaes (12-7-0) vs. Matt Hamill (11-5-0)
Since Magalhaes first left the UFC, he has only lost once in other promotions. Since being dropped by the promotion a second time, he has won two straight by submission. In fact Hamill really doesn’t have a chance in this bout. Even if Magalhaes cannot get to the ground, Hamill does not really stand a chance standing up with how far his skills have declined. Magalhaes by decision.
