Phoenix Combat Academy (PCA) and Jay Pages Jiu-Jitsu/Ruffhouse Jiu-Jitsu had a very successful weekend of Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! Friday brought us Rage in the Cage and the weekend brought us the last tournament AZSBJJF tournament of the year. To start things off, we had an awesome Friday with a first round arm bar in Rage in the Cage performed by PCA student and competitor Bashir Saber. The arm bar indirectly set the momentum for the rest of the weekend. After 2 days of fierce competition and a tournament filled with over 600 competitors we came out better than most other schools did! From our school alone, (Not Ruffhouse Total. Ruffhouse total was 53 competitors) we brought 17 competitors to the tournament and finished the weekend off with 14 medals! Not a bad weekend! As a whole Ruffhouse Jiu-Jitsu placed 3rd overall as a team! Congratulations to all Jay Pages Jiu-Jitsu and Ruffhouse Jiu-Jitsu competitors! As Arthur always says, win or lose, everyone counts!
