Amman, Jordan- New Tatame installed to train the Jordanian Armed Forces. Plan designed to train BJJ to over 100.000 (One Hundred Thousand) Soldiers in the next 10 Years. The new matt area is 600 Squared Meters. Begginner course starts July 1st 2007 with more than 150 Army Trainees enlisted. “Bjj will be the biggest sport in Jordan one day, the rapid increase of demand for BJJ is similar to the one that happened in Brazil in the beggining of the 1990’s”, said the Board Secretary of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Jordan. His Highness Prince Hussein Mirza is extremely happy with the trun out of BJJ in the country. His role as the Honorary President of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Jordan is a key role to the success of the “gentle art” in the region.
