The light-weight of American Top Team, Gesias Cavalcante, has recovered from a knee injury that kept him out of the ring in recent months. The fighter told that he is back in training and expects to fight yet in the first semester of the year.
"I am now back in training, my knee is recovered, I’m still not 100% and hope to return in May or June. The recovery was great, but this time I’m more cautious, more patience, so I don’t want to skip any stage."
Even with no set date for his next fight, Gesias tell us how are the hard trainings at ATT.
"The trains are great, are more difficult than any event, especially in my category. Some people go there to do some training and think it’s better than any ppv event”.
Living for seven years in the U.S., the two-times Hero’s champion tell us that misses his country, but admits that the structure that he have on ATT is hard to find in another place.
"I could live in anywhere. I miss Brazil, where I’m going to go see the family, but in the U.S., I have access for many things, the people are more professional, I am more focused, that’s the United State’s advantage”.
About the future, the fighter stills connected with Japan, but in the future thinks about fighting on the American scene. He knows he will have good challenges in any event.
"In my weight, anywhere in the world I can find tough opponents. In United States the market has grown, I’m seeing what’s happening, they are observing me, is a matter of time until I accept a propose. I’m just waiting for a good contract for both. This is something that I really want. It would be great. "
