UFC 182 Predictions will have one of the biggest fights at Light-Heavyweight when Jon Jones put his title on the line against the undefeated Daniel Cormier.
UFC 182 Predictions also has a pivotal Lightweight matchup when Donald Cerrone takes on another undefeated fighter in Myles Jury.
UFC 182 Predictions: Main Card
Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier
Both have never really had a challenge in the cage, but the biggest issue here is going to be Jones’ reach. With one of the biggest differentials in terms of reach, Cormier is going to have to work hard to get inside or get this to the ground. While Cormier may win some matches this will probably turn out very similar to the Hendricks and lawler fights where Jones will pick off Cormier in enough rounds to walk away with a decision victory.
Donald Cerrone va. Myles Jury
Jury is a decent fighter but there is not real spot he can out pace Cerrone in. Standing Cerrone has more power and technique and on the ground Cerrone can finish fighters just as well. Unless Jury grinds it out, but that won’t happen as he is finished my Cerrone in the second round.
Brad Tavares vs. Nate Marquardt
Tavares does well against people that get sucked into his game, but Marquardt is experienced enough to put his own game into action. Look for Marquardt to finish this fight on the ground early in the third.
Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Louis Gaudinot
Horiguchi has some of the best and most potent hands at 125 while Gaudinot has been out struck more than once with in just his UFC career. This seems like a little bit of a step down for Horiguchi who has won three straight fights in the Octagon. This will be his fourth straight by knockout as well.
Hector Lombard vs. Josh Burkman
This is a big matchup but Lombard seems to be just a bit more dynamic and well rounded. Burkman has great striking but Lombard has the takedowns to control this fight. The only thing against him is if his cardio fails. That won’t matter as Lombard takes a decision victory over the returning Burkman.
