Ian McCall and John Lineker were already supposed to fight in an unofficial number one contenders match for Demetrious Johnson’s flyweight title. Unfortunately, McCall had to drop out the day of the fight due to illness. Now the two will duke it out come January 31st to see who may earn a shot at the title. McCall had a rough start to his UFC career after he lost to fight and had a draw, but he has bounced back with two straight wins. Lineker may have already been in line for a title shot, but his inability to make weight hurt his chances. He fixed that issue but a loss to Ali Bagautinov, but with one win under his belt and a potential win over McCall he may get that title shot after all.
