UFC Fight Night 64 Predictions: Main Card
Mirko Cro Cop vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
This a rematch nearly eight years in the making back when Cro Cop was fresh off a PRIDE stopping and many though the heir apparent to the UFC throne. Unfortunately, a head kick from Gonzaga reversed course and both have fought to stay relevant going 8-6 and 8-7 respectively. Cro Cop has returned for one last run in the UFC to avenge some losses and this will be his first and maybe only win reversed as he takes a decision win over Gonzaga.
Jimi Manuwa vs. Jan Blachowicz
Both of these fighters have potential to challenge for the title one day and this match will prove who has the better ability. Neither are young with both in their 30s, but Manuwa is a show stopper having finished almost all of his wins. Blachowicz will win this fight though as his varied style will have him capturing a submission in the second round.
Joanne Calderwood vs. Maryna Moroz
Moroz may have been brought in as a late replacement, but she is an absolute terror having finished all of her fights with four of them coming by submission. WIth Calderwood being not too diverse on the ground that could spell doom. I think Moroz pulls off the upset here capturing Calderwood on the ground for a win in her debut.
UFC Fight Night 64 Predictions: Undercard
Seth Backzynski vs. Leon Edwards
This is Backzynski’s last chance after losing four of his last five fights while depending on his performance, a loss may even have Edwards packing his bags after losing his debut. Luckily, Backzynski’s size will win him the fight as the 6’3″ fighters captures a decision over Edwards this weekend.
