UFC Fight Night 65 Predictions: Main Event
Urijah Faber vs. Frankie Edgar
This is truly a superfight between two fighters who have found success in multiple weight classes. Both fighters have also have not lost a fight except for a UFC title in basically the last five years. Edgar seems to have the advantage here in strength having contended with some much larger fighters, but he also has to deal with Faber’s striking acumen and speed. Still, it looks like Edgar will take this by decision in the end.
UFC Fight Night 65 Predictions: Co-Main Event
Gegard Mousasi vs. Costas Philippou
Both fighters have had some success and downfalls in their last few fights. Mousasi has only lost b people who could dictate the pace of the fight. Philippou has lost to people that could outmuscle him. Ultimately, what will hurt Philippou in this fight is having not fought in over a year. Mousasi has fought three times in the span that he has been hurt and out of the Octagon. Mousasi by TKO late in the second round.
UFC Fight Night 65 Predictions: Undercard
Mark Munoz vs. Luke Barnatt
Munoz is looking to retire after this fight, so one has to wonder how hard he trained for this fight. He could be coming in ready to take the win and leave the Octagon forever, or he could come in the same shape he has for the last few fights. Then again, Barnatt has not shown that great of fire having lost his last two fights by split decision. Still, Barnatt is young, tall and ready to give Munoz one more TKO loss before he retires.
Hyun Gyu Lim vs. Neil Magny
Magny seems to still being overlooked after winning six straight fights and having finished three of his last four fights. Lim is meanwhile only 3-1 with three finishes in his wins. Still it will be an interesting fight considering that the two are some of the biggest in the division. While it may be even on the feet, Magny will finish this by submission on the ground in the second round.
