UFC Fight Night 75 Predictions: Roy Nelson vs. Josh Barnett
Roy Nelson (20-11-0) vs. Josh Barnett (33-7-0)
Barnett has been out of the sport for a while after a knockout, but he has long been considered one of the best in the sport due to his consistency. Regardless of who he is fighting, how old he is or what is going on leading into the fight he always puts up a fight. Plus, he has five rounds to do what he needs with Roy Nelson. Look for that to play a factor as he stops Nelson toward the fourth round.
Uriah Hall (11-5-0) vs. Gegard Mousasi (37-5-2)
Hall is no where near the level of fighters that Mousasi has lost too. Mousasi has abilities that far surpass what Hall will bring to the table. Look for Mousasi to finish this in the first round.
Chico Camus (14-6-0) vs. Kyoji Horiguchi (15-2-0)
Camus is a tough fighter, but Horiguchi has knockout power inches hands that can change the course of a fight very quickly. Horiguchi may not knockout Camus but he has the ability to take a unanimous decision.
Takeya Mizugaki (20-9-2) vs. George Roop (15-11-1)
Mizugaki looked to be a real contender after winning five straight but after two straight losses, where he was finished, it is hard to gauge where is mindset is. Roop meanwhile has not been seen from in over a year and has suffered two knockout losses in his last three fights. Unfortunately, Mizugaki does not have the power to finish many people with his hands.
Matt Hobar (9-3-0) vs. Norifumi Yamamoto (18-6-0)
Yamamoto has won one fight in the last eight years. Hobar has not had the most successful UFC career, but he is also not as worn as Yamamoto. While Yamamoto will have his spots in this fight, it will not be enough for him to win.
