Benson Henderson vs. Jorge Masvidal
Benson Henderson is a former UFC Lightweight champion who is trying to make a run at the Welterweight ranks. He was originally supposed to face off Thiago Alves but an injury has him facing off with Masvidal and a win over either them does just as much for his career. A fight with Dong Hyun Kim would have been better, because Masvidal is a good fighter but he is not on Henderson’s level. He is beaten by people who can constantly pressure him and not tire out. That is Henderson’s style to the tee and he can do that to Masvidal. Henderson by decision.
Dong Hyun Kim vs. Dominic Waters
Bottom line, Waters is not on the same level as Kim. He got this fight due to an injury and it will not go his way. Kim has portrayed more skills in hi last few years and that will lead to a stoppage victory for him. Kim by TKO int he first.
Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alberto Mina
Mina is a tough fighter who finishes a lot of his fights, but regardless of his skills now, Akiyama is notoriously hard to finish. The only fighter to do so is super Belfort with magic lion drugs. Also, Chris Leben pulled a come from behind submission victory. If Mina cannot finish Akiyama, then the issue will be if he does not cardio out during the fight. Akiyama always comes to fight and there will be plenty of chances for him in the fight despite his extended layoffs over the last few years. Akiyama wins a close decision.
Doo Ho Choi vs. Sam Sicilia
Choi is a tough as nails fighters who is on a great winning streak while Sicilia shows flashes of brilliance with also having some big stumbles. Choi has won ten straight with a lot of finishes and Sicilia is only on a two fight win streak with wins over fighters who do not even belong in the UFC anymore honestly. Choi should come through with flying colors even if Sicilia is trying to prove something to the matchmakers. Choi by decision.
