UFC Fight night 83 is a fight card that was never that strong, but it was free so it really did not matter. Then the card was hit with Tim Means failed drug test and the card lost part of its main event. Now, it is a betel between two former Lightweight as Cowboy faces off with Cowboy. That is right, Donald Cerrone will take on his Brazilian counterpart, and former Lightweight, in a Welterweight bout. Oliveira has won three straight but who none of those wins would be as big as a win over Cowboy.
The card also features some big matches across the weight classes. Derek Brunson sits at 5-1 in the Middleweight division, but with Yoel Romero failing his drug test it throws all of his wins into contention. He will face on Carneiro who returned to the UFC to submit to submit Mark Munoz last year.
Former Flyweight contender John Lineker will continue his assault on the Bantamweight division as he takes on Cody Garbrandt. Former reshot and streaking Featherweight Dennis Bermudez looks to rebuild after a few losses as he takes on Japanese stalwart Tatsuya Kawajiri. Two former prospects at 170 face off looking to capture a little bit of their hype as Brandon Thatch takes on Sitar Bahadurzada.
Two UFC veterans in Chris Camozzi and Joe Riggs battle to stay relevant at 185. Marion Reneau looks to rebound from a loss to current champion Holly holm when she takes on Ashlee Evans-Smith who returns from suspension. Lastly, Sarah Moras will do battle with Lauren Murphy as both women are fighting to keep their job.
