Invita is putting on it 16th fight card and it will take place in Costa Mesa California. The event is of course headlined by Cyborg Justino who has abandoned her drop to 135, after Rousey’s loss, instead looking to defend her title and continue her dominance at 145. She will be facing off with promotional newcomer Daria Ibragimova.
Ibragimova is 9-1 as a professional and clocks in at 31 year of age. She is currently riding a seven fight win streak with six submission victories and a one to victory coming by way of TKO. She will face off with Cyborg who of course is 14-1 without have lost a fight in nearly a decade while and having won her last seven bouts by TKO. This should be an interesting fight to see if Ibragimova can last more than one round since the majority of the fighters Cyborg has faced int he last few years have not been able to.
Also scheduled for this car dis a second title fight at 115 pounds. Current champion Livia Souza who captured the title last April and will have had nearly a full year since her last fight. She will take on fellow undefeated Strawweight DeAnna Bennett who captured a shot at the title with eight straight victories, four of which have come in the promotion itself.
Another big name on the card is former UFC fighter Angela hill who debuts for the promotion after being cut from the UFC. A lot of people were miffed when she was cut from the UFC due to two straight losses, but those came to top five fighters in her division in Rose Namajuanas and Tecia Torres. Maybe she can make a strong performance and gain some experience in this promotion since she only entered the UFC with one professional bout.
