Hey everybody!
Yesterday I got the chance to get a tune up before this weekend’s tournament with multiple time black belt world champion Caio Terra. Also in attendance were tough black belts and good friends Augusto Queixinho, Samir Chantre, and Flavio Meier. The training session was killer and I’ve already felt my game get tighter from training with these high level athletes.
We traded techniques, worked on positions and did various high intensity matches that left me feeling well prepared for whatever I may face this weekend at the San Francisco Open. All of these guys are extremely technical, tight and explosive and they make you feel like you have to be doing everything right at all times to avoid being rendered helpless and then submitted. Queixinho, Samir and Flavio will all be competing this weekend as well, so if you’re in the area come by Merrit College in Oakland and check out the action!!
