Hey Jiu-Jitsu fans!!
This is OTM Team Brown Belt Nathan Mendelsohn from Coalition 95 BJJ under instructor Claudio Franca. I’m here on my fifth trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Id like to share my experience with all of you!! In this blog ill share some killer stories about trainng and competing as well as the night life and my experience as an american in brazil in general. I’ll also share tips on traveling down here for gringoes so stay tuned!!
As I mentioned, this is my fifth trip to train in brazil and I already speak portuguese fluently. I train with GFTeam and am staying at the house of professor and good friend Theodoro Canal. We train here in Recreio, near Barra da Tijuca, and also travel to Meier to train with Jiu-Jitsu aces Rodolfo Vieira, Jake Mackenzie, Denilson Pimenta, Italo Lins, Ricardo Evangelista, Vinicius Marinho and many more!
I have already been down here for about a month but my access to the internet up to this point has been spotty so the next few blog entries will be recaps to catch you up to where I’m at today and from now on I will be adding entries regularly!!
