IBJJF to split Women’s Brown/Black Belt divisions in 2012

In a post on September 16th, Gi3Girls.com reported that a representative from the IBJJF confrimed the organization will be splitting the women’s joint Brown/Black division into two separate divisions beginning in 2012.

A representative of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) has confirmed that they will split the women’s Brown/Black divisions into two separate divisions for the first time in 2012!

The decision has been made to create separate divisions for Brown and Black Belts for the European Championships, Pan Championships, and the Mundial. No decision has been made as of yet for separation at the other smaller tournaments run by the organization.

Bring on the ladies in 2012!!!
