It is always a pleasure to be at the TFA fights and this time, Mike Guyman’s camp “Jokers Wild” was extremely impressive with all of his fighters winning their fights. On November 3rd the TFA, returned to the Los Angeles area with one of its best shows yet. OTM was on hand to help sponsor the TFA fights along with several other sponsors including Psyko Gear South Bay, Warrior Wear, Sinister Brand,and Take a Nap. It is always a pleasure to be at the TFA fights and this time, Mike Guyman’s camp “Jokers Wild” was extremely impressive with all of his fighters winning their fights.


In the first fight Camilo Rivera fought Jeff Martin.


In the first round both fighters touch gloves. Martin throws a leg kick at Rivera. Rivera takes Martin to the ground. Rivera ends up pulling guard. Both fighters stand back up. Martin throws some knees and punches. Both fighters back to ground. Martin gets top control and finishes the fight with his ground and pound techniques at 1:31 of the first round.


In the second fight Joe Micaletti fought Ronald Lebreton


Round 1Fighters touch gloves. Joe catches Ronald with a sidekick and both fighters go the ground. Joe pulls guard and Ronald passes the guard to side control. Ronald hits Joe with a few good elbows. The round ends in this position.


Round 2Both fighters exchange punches in the cage with Ronald getting the better of the punches. Both fighters end up against the cage where the referee restarts the fight. Both fighters exchange more punches Ronald gets the better shots against who Joe throws a round house kick and both are against the fence again. Round ends with both fighters exchanging kicks.


Round 3Joe throws a knee but takes a punch to the head. Both fighters are now against the fence. Ronald takes Joe to the ground where Ronald lands some good elbows. Joe’s corner throws in the towel and the fight is stopped at 1:37 in the third round. Lebreton wins by TKO.


In the third fight Raja Shippen fought Craig Pickerill


Round 1Fighter touch gloves, Raja throws a kick but gets taken to the fence. Raja gets to the back of his opponent and lands a few knees. Raja gets taken down but sweeps his opponent and gets top position. Raja moves to mounted position and lands several punches and elbows. The referee stops the fight. Raja wins by TKO.


In the fourth fight Walter Pinto fought Davis Chong.





Round1Pinto shoots in for a take down. Pinto takes side control on Chong. After a few minutes Herb Dean restarts the fighters. Chong lands a flying knee and both fighters go against the fence. Both fighters now on the mat where the round ends with Pinto in Chongs guard.


Round 2Chong lands a roundhouse kick. Pinto tries a take down, Chong sprawls but Pinto pushes forward to take Chong to the ground. Referee restarts fighters. Chong lands several big kicks and punches, then gets taken down. Pinto moves to side control where the round ends.


Round 3Pinto tries a take down but is unable to. Chong misses with a kick and both fighters exchange punches. Pinto shoots in for a takedown. Both fighters are against the fence where the referee restarts the fighters. Fighters exchange punches and Pinto gets a roundhouse kick to the head. The round ends with both fighters squared off against each other. Pinto winds the fight by unanimous decision.


In the fifth fight Anthony McDavitt fought Armando Sanchez


Round 1Sanchez throws a flying knee to Anthony’s head. Both fighters exchange knees. Anthony takes down Sanchez where Sanchez tries an ankle lock. Both fighters back to their feet where Sanchez lands another flying knee to Anthony’s head. Both fighters against the fence exchanging knees as the round ends.


Round 2Anthony throws a roundhouse kick but takes a flying knee from Sanchez. Anthony pulls guard, Sanchez stands up to throw some punches. Anthony kicks upward and catches Sanchez in the face. Sanchez back on top and then takes the back of Anthony. Anthony spins around and pulls guard.


Round 3


Fighters exchange punches and kicks in the cage. Fighters end up against the cage the majority of the round exchanging knees. The round ends this way with Sanchez winning by unanimous decision.


In the sixth fight Cordero fought Mitch Mellotti


Round 1


Both fighters touch gloves. Mitch tries a kick but misses. Both fighters against the fence. Fighters go to the ground and Cordero gets Mellotti’s back. Cordero working a rear naked choke and a few punches from this position. Cordero maintains back control for the rest of the round trying to submit Mitch with the rear naked choke.


Round 2Fighters exchange a few punches. Mitch lands a low kick but Cordero continues to fight. Fighters go to the ground but Mitch does not want to be on the ground with Cordero so he signals him to stand back up. Cordero works a single leg to take down on Mitch against the fence. Mitch moves around and lands a big roundhouse kick to Cordero’s jaw and knocks him out. Mellotti wins by knockout.


In the seventh fight Conor Heun fought Brett Cooper


Round 1Fighters meet in the center and exchange punches and kicks. Coopper works roundhouse kicks and Heun works his punches. Cooper lands and punch and Huen goes for the takedown. Round ends with Huen working the guard.


Round 2Heun goes for the takedown but Cooper defends. Heun gets the takedown but Copper gets top position. Heun sweeps Cooper and ends up in Cooper’s half guard. Copper pulls an ankle lock and both fighters roll across the ring with the ankle lock. Both fighters stand up where Cooper lands a few punches. Both fighters against the fence then back to the ground where the round ends.


Round 3Both fighters exchange punched then to the ground where Heun gets Copper’s back. Cooper tries to roll around and Heun gets full mount against him. Heun drops several punches form the mounted position. Both fighters end up on their feet. Heun shoots in takes Cooper to the ground and Heun works side control. Fight ends there with Cooper winning a split decision.


In the eighth fight Andrew Flores fought JJ Ambros


Round 1JJ goes for a takedown, working the single leg. Ambros takes him down then both back to their feet exchanging punches. Both fighters back to the ground where JJ takes the back of Flores and works the rear naked choke. Flores back to his feet and throws some punches.


Round 2Flores lands some punches JJ tries an ankle lock then tries a knee bar. Flores land a big punch, JJ sweeps him and Flores pulls guard. Flores tries to get up but JJ takes mounted position against him. JJ starts to ground and pound, Flores rolls and JJ takes his back and tries the rear naked choke. The round ends this way.




Round 3JJ shoots in on Flores who defends it and takes JJ’s back. Flores now working a rear naked choke against JJ. Flores works the choke from this position the entire round. JJ wins the fight by unanimous decision.


In the ninth fight Martin Bautista fought Gilbert Salinas


Round 1Both fighters feeling each other out in the cage. Martin kicks Salinas low and the fight is stopped for about a minute. Salinas continues and both fighters exchange punches. Salinas slams Martin to ground the round ends.


Round 2Fighters exchange punches. Salinas pulls guard where Martin works between throwing punches and tries to get better position. The round ends this way.


Round 3Martin lands a good punch and both fighters against the fence. Martin takes Salinas down but both fighters end up back on their feet. Salinas lands a knee on Martin and fighters go the ground. Salinas tries an arm bar but is unable to finish it as the round ends.


Round 4Both fighters exchange punches and Martin gets a takedown on Salinas. Martin works side control on Salinas and ends up in Salinas’ guard. The round ends with Martin in Salinas’ guard.


Round 5Both fighters exchange punches. Martin lands the better punches but gets caught with a flying knee. Martin picks up Salinas and slams him to the mat. Martin works side control then ends up in Salinas’ guard. Martin lands a few punches. The round ends with Martin in Salinas’ guard. Martin Bautista wins by unanimous decision.


In the tenth and final fight of the night Chad George fought Todd Guimond for the TFA world title.


In the first round Chad comes out and lands a high roundhouse kick and then a big punch to Todd’s head. Both fighters go to the ground where Todd spins around and takes Chad’s back. Todd lands a few punches then switches to side control. Todd stands up against Chad, then passes his guard and gets mounted position against him. Todd lands a couple of elbows and takes Chad’s back. Todd submits Chad with a rear naked choke. Todd Guimond wins the 135 pound TFA world title.
