OntheMat.com proudly presents the FightWorks Podcast! The top BJJ, Submission Grappling and MMA Podcast on the Net!

www.thefightworkspodcast.com/A packed show today on The FightWorks Podcast after a very busy week in the combat sports. It’s probably easiest to list our interviewees on today’s show.

* Jude Samuel, the promoter of the 10K Ground Clash which took place in London on March 11th joins us to discuss this invite-only no-gi submission grappling show. Renowned competitor and former guest on The FightWorks Podcast Jeff Monson beat a field of 31 other elite competitors to win the prize of approximately $20,000. Jude gives us a recap of the event and gives us a hard time about the value of the dollar compared to the British pound. * US Wrestling, a member of FILA, is working to achieve the goal of having submission grappling in the Olympics and a meeting took place in Colorado on March 10th between grappling’s biggest event promoters in the United States. Scotty Nelson of On The Mat.com was on hand and gives us a rundown of all the details in this development, which has big implications for the way competition could be conducted in the United States moving forward. * Ryan “Ryangle” Hall took on Scott Bieri in the NeverTap tournament yesterday in Los Angeles in a no-gi superfight. We catch up with Hall moments after a very long match in which he submitted Bieri with a heel attack. Ryan Hall is one of the most active and successful competitors on the scene today and is a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Lloyd Irvin. * In mixed martial arts news, we covered the International Fight League event that took place last night in Los Angeles when the Tokyo Sabres defeated the Southern California Condors and the Los Angeles Anacondas destroyed the San Jose Razorclaws. Kurt Otto, commissioner of the International Fight League, spends a few moments with us after the fights in Los Angeles last night to discuss the event and the IFL’s progress this year. We also hear from Savant Young of the Sabres regarding his devastating defeat of Adam Lynn by knockout.

All in all, one of the meatiest show’s we’ve done, pound for pound (not the British pound!). Enjoy, and if you have any interest in sponsoring the show, be sure to contact us. Many thanks to our newest sponsor, Grapplers Quest!
