Register today to save $20 At this year’s Pan American of Submission Grappling, which takes place Sunday June 3rd in Fountain Valley, CA, there will be $5,000 in prizes up for grabs going to the winners of the 5 Men’s advanced divisions. The divisions are being sponsored by OTM and Lucky Gi, which was made possible from the last of the Lucky Gis that were auctioned off on eBay. This money can be used by the winners to travel to Las Vegas to participate in the World Team Trials held in Las Vegas, Nevada the following weekend.
For the first time ever there will be an official Submission Grappling World Championships. On September 7th-9th the World Championships of Submission Grappling will be held in Antalya, Turkey alongside Freestyle Wrestling, Greco-Roman, Sambo, and Beach Wrestling. All events are sanctioned under FILA, the official International governing body for Grappling Operating under the IOC (International Olympic Committee).
The Pan American of Submission Grappling is the last official Qualifier for the World Team Trials held in Las Vegas, Nevada June 8th-10th alongside the Freestyle Wrestling, Greco-Roman, Sambo, and Beach Wrestling World Team Trials. The top two finishers in each weight category in the Men’s Advanced divisions (20 total athletes) and Women’s Advanced divisions (8 total athletes) will be placed in the World Team Trials to battle for the Top 3 positions of their respected weight class to become a member of the first ever Official Team USA to travel to Antalya, Turkey to represent the USA. Travel and accommodations will be fully paid to participate in the first ever World Championships!
The top three athletes in each weight division that qualify in the World Team Trials will be flown and accommodated to compete in the World Championships. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity. See you all on June 3rd at the Pan American of Submission Grappling!
