Now, Joanna Jedzejczyk is set to defend her title for the first time since defeating Carla Esparza for the title back in March at UFC 185. This fight is set to air on UFC Fight Pass but that may change if Fox has an interest in airing it. The champion now sits at a perfect 8-0 with three straight wins in the Octagon.
She will face off against former Invicta FC fighter and Atomweight champion Jessica Penne who was a contestant on the TUF show for the title. Penne sits at 5-2 in her last six fights with her only loss coming to recent UFC signee Michelle Waterson. She picked up a win at the TUF finale by taking out Randa Markos by split decision. Penne sits at number three in the rankings only behind former champion Carla Esparza and Claudia Gadelha.

This is another set back for the former title challenger who thought he was going to get a rematch with a win over current number one contender Anthony Johnson. Unfortunately, he lost that fight by knockout when Johnson finished him in the first round. Now, he may never get that rematch with Jon Jones considering all the legal trouble the former champion is now tied up in.
He was set to take on another struggling former title challenger in Glover Teixeira who has lost two straight with the Jones fight and Phil Davis. It has not been announced whether or not he will stay on the card, but with Bade rout of his fight with Cormier, maybe it is time to link this two up for a rematch to see where both currently stand in the 205 pecking order.
