Back to the U.S. market, Ximu fights on Saturday in Washington

Looking for his seventh consecutive victory, Gustavo Ximu is one of the attractions of Washington Combat, which takes place this Saturday in Washington. He will face Jordan Smith.

"I’m very well trained, I training for almost two months for this fight," said the fighter to Portal do Vale Tudo, "My opponent is very tough, a guy pretty good on wrestling and standing. I have not had much chance to see how he fights on the floor, but I’m prepared for any eventuality where the fight will stay. I will try to define the fight in the first round, knocking out or stopping. I’m with gas if I have to go to the end or reach the third round".

Not having fought in the U.S. since 2007, when he beat John Cronk in PCF 1, in Denver, Ximu hopes that a victory against Smith put him back to the U.S. market.

"The whole beginning of my career was in Japan and the United States, then I started to fight a few times in Brazil and last year I only fought there. I’m trying to return to the international market, but if invited me to fight in Brazil and fight for a good bag that values my price, I will do my best. I love to fight there, because it gives less work and not have to travel so far. Still, I’m trying to reach the biggest events here in the USA. I’m trying to fight here again. I will now fight in Washington Combat, I intend to have a good performance in the event and continue to face big challenges," concluded the fighter.
