Bahadurzada retains title; “Beição” is the new Shooto World Champion

Two World titles of Shooto and one South American title of Shooto were on the line, last Friday, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at Shooto Brasil 17 and the fights didn’t disappoint.

 

For the Shooto World title at 83 kg, Siyar Bahadurzada knocked out Carlos Indio in just 38 seconds, keeping his title. Then in the Shooto World title bout at 76 kg, that was vacant, Luis “Beição” Ramos defeated Igor “Chatubinha” by unanimous decision.

 

In another great fight, the veteran Johnny Eduardo won the South American title after earning a unanimous decision win over Paulo Guerreiro. The title was vacant, because the previous champion Renan Barão, is now a WEC fighter.
