BATTLEQUEST 6 this weekend!

On Saturday, July 21st 2007 the BATTLEQUEST series returns to action with it’s sixth installment entitled SHOOTOUT!

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Local promoter Carlos Carvalho has done a great job of building an awareness of MMA in the Vail Valley and plans to expand that a bit as the promotion holds it first event in Eagle, CO. The brand new Eagle County Fairgrounds River Event Center will host 13 Mixed Martial arts bouts. BATTLEQUEST is known as a feeder event to the RING OF FIRE. The event is headlined by a 155 lb Championship Match between Rocky Johnson and Omaha’s Ryan Roberts. The feature bout of the evening has Boulder’s Tyler Toner facing off against the scrappy Nick Mamalis of Green River, Wyoming. All four fighters are ROF veterans and are working their way back in to the ROF roster.

Top local fighters from the Vail valley include middleweight Robert Hermansillo, and light weights Chris Harvey and Ismael Hermansillo. Athletes from 4 states will make the trek to compete on the event.

ROF promoter Sven Bean served as match maker for the event. Bean will be keeping a watchful eye on the undercard, hoping to find new stars for the RING OF FIRE flagship promotion.
