Bellator 143 Predictions: Warren vs. Davis

Joe Warren (12-4-0) vs. LC Davis (23-6-0)

LC Davis is an all around good fighter, but he is not great at any one particular thing. Warren always has his wrestling to rely on and has not shown the weak chin that was seen in his fights at 145. Unless Davis can pull off a submission or stop Warren’s wrestling he may never be a huge factor in this fight. Chalk up another win for the baddest man on the planet in this one.

Kendall Grove (21-15-0) vs. Joey Beltran (16-11-0)
Grove has a horrible chin that Beltran can easily exploit. With nearly half of his 15 losses coming by knockout and 11 of Beltran’s 16 victories being stoppages, it can only really end one way. Plus, Grove’s best area would be a submission, but with only one submission loss in 30 fights it is unlikely that he gets one here. Beltran by TKO in round one.

Henry Corrales (12-1-0) vs. Emmanuel Sanchez (10-2-0)
The two biggest prospects on the card face off after suffering losses in their last fights to former Bellator Featherweight champions. These fighters are as evenly matched as they come, but based off their losing efforts,  Sanchez seems to be the more complete fighter over Corrales who was handled pretty easily in his first loss. Sanchez by decision victory in this fight.

Ryan Couture (10-3-0) vs. Nick Gonzalez (18-12-0)
Couture feels he got a raw shake of things in his two fight UFC stint, but he has made the most of things since being cut by the promotion. Couture has returned to his grappling roots and finished his last four fights all by submission. Gonzalez has not been nearly as lucky in this fight with only two wins in his past six fights. Plus, in two of those four losses he was submitted which does not bode well for Gonzalez. Couture wins by submission.

Chase Gormley (12-4-0) vs. Dan Charles (9-3-0)
Gormley seems to have righted the ship after a span of losses from 2009-2011.He has won five straight fights while Charles is only 2-3 in his past five fights. In all three of those losses, Charles was finished by punches. Don;t expect this to be any different with Gormley winning by TKO.
