WATCH REAL RIO SHOW
The Real Rio Show goes on tour to Los Angeles! Aussie blue belt Sam Cannons travelled from down under to Brazil and then the USA to compete in the 2011 IBJJF World Championships (also known as the Mundials). Training with Rudy Fischmann at the M3 Fight & Fitness center in Montrose, California, Sam and his girlfriend Belinda took the trip to the iconic Walter Pyramid in Long Beach for the biggest BJJ tournament in the world. Of course, they managed to squeeze in some sightseeing around LA too!
Back in Brazil, a few members of the Real Rio Show crew took a trip up the stunning mountain Pedra da Gavea. With the start of the trail only a short walk from the Connection Rio house in Barra da Tijuca, the peak is set in the beautiful national park known as Tijuca Forest.
Rising over 800 meters above sea level, the monolith boasts commanding views over the city, and while challenging the trail to the top is surprisingly accessible and a popular attraction for visitors to the Connection Rio house.
