POINT SYSTEM Takedowns – 2 pointsPassing the Guard – 3 pointsKnee to Stomach – 2 pointsTop Mount Position – 4 pointsBack Mount position – 4 pointsReversals – 2 points RULES All matches begin with both competitors standing. Any legal submission instantly wins the match. If no submission is achieved, the competitor with the most points when time expires wins the match.
POOR SPORTSMANSHIP MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION.Use of Gl is mandatory in ALL youth divisions.The Referee may stop the match and declare a winner if a competitor is in a bad position. If out of bounds, the Referee may halt the match, and begin again in the middle of the ring, in the same position as when the competitors went out of bounds. The tournament producers reserve the right to combine any division with less than 3 competitors. Allowed Submissions Arm Locks, Arm Bars, Ankle Locks, Chokes, Headlocks, Straight Knee bars (Adv. Only) Prohibited Submissions Ankle Twists, Heel Hooks, Knee Twisting, Finger Twisting, Hair Pulling, Eye Gouging, Strikes, Body Slams from the Guard, No Leg Attacks for Women & Children.Liability Waiver: The participant agrees to comply with the rules of the USA Martial Arts Association and acknowledges that competition in the Throw Down II In H-Town Tournament is physical and participation in such competition can result in injury to a participant. The participant hereby waives any claim of damages or injury against the Throw Down II in H-Town Tournament, USA Martial Arts Association, or any of its officers, agents, employees or any individual connected with the organization or promotion of the Throw Down II In H-Town Tournament and expressly assumes all risks of whatever nature resulting from participation. Additionally, I am fully aware of my personal medical conditions and hereby certify that I am mentally and physically fit to compete in said tournament. Lastly, I hereby waive any compensation whatsoever for use of pictures, videotape, media coverage, statements, interviews, etc., utilized by those producing or directing this event at any time.
