It’s not everyday that you get to go to a seminar with 3 World Champions not to mention see them get promoted.Well I decided to take the long trip over to Chicago to the Flo Seminar and it was definitely worth it! The instructors were Rodrigo “Comprido” Medeiros, Robert Drysdale and Roberto Traven.
At the beginning of the seminar Comprido was presented with his 3rd stripe and Robert received his first stripe on his black belt. It was an honor just to be there for that but then they a great seminar. It’s not everyday that you get to go to a seminar with 3 World Champions not to mention see them get promoted.
The seminar was surprisingly easy to follow because each instructor would teach just a few things and then they would switch so the information was getting “chunked” together. All of the moves were taught in a series with was really nice. So when you had to remember the move it was simple because that instructor only showed a few things from one position.
If any of you haven’t been to the Flo gym in Chicago i highly recommend it, it is a great MMA and BJJ facility with plenty of space. I also had a chance to sit down with Comprido and talk about his recent promotion and his move to the states. We also talk about how to not build a snowman. Then I had a chance to speak with Drysdale about what is going on at Xtreme Couture and talk about his move to MMA. You can find the videos on the video link. Also the same group is doing a seminar in Atlanta so if you get a chance this weekend go down to Atlanta and check out the seminar you won’t be disappointed.
