Chidi Njokuani (8-3) vs. Phil Dace (8-2) at RFA 4

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) continued their busy day of fight announcements deep into Wednesday evening with their fourth fight announcement of the day for RFA 4, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout is sure to be a fan favorite, as it will see two of Las Vegas’ best strikers Chidi "Chidi Bang Bang" Njokuani (8-3) and Phil "Filthy" Dace (8-2) meet in a welterweight showdown.

Njokuani and Dace share more similarities than fans in Las Vegas. Since the two welterweights made their pro MMA debut, they have combined for a total of 11 KO/TKO victories and have become familiar names to local fans by fighting on various local cards. Their brutal kickboxing pedrigrees can easily be traced back to their mentors. Njokuani is a longtime student of "One Kick" Nick Blomgren, while Dace trains Muay Thai with Mark "The Hyena" Beecher.

Njokuani trains alongside his brother, UFC star Anthony Njokuani, at One Kick’s Gym for kickboxing. He also trains at Sergio Penha’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school to supplement his devastating striking arsenal with high-level grappling instruction. Penha’s influence has already helped earn Njokuani one submission win. In Njokuani’s 8 career victories, he has only won once via decision. That was in his RFA debut in June.

Meanwhile, Dace hones his flashy stand-up skills across town with Mark "The Hyena" Beecher. Beecher is perhaps best known for his stint on The Ultimate Fighter 7, where he was Team Forrest’s striking coach. Before teaming up with Beecher, Dace was a member of Team Tompkins under the late Shawn Tompkins. Like Njokuani, Dace also trains with one of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu pracititioners in the world. Dace trains his ground game with 2007 ADCC Absolute champion Robert Drysdale.

RFA 4 is set to be headlined by a light-heavyweight showdown pitting former UFC and PRIDE star Gilbert "The Hurricane" Yvel against former UFC and ADCC star Marcio "Pe De Pano" Cruz. The co-main event will feature two former UFC lightweight stars, as Tyson Griffin meets Efrain Escudero. These fights and more will take place at the Dallas Event Center inside Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
