Countdown to Caged Vengeance – Complete Fight Card

Countdown to Caged Vengeance

Sixteen bouts set for Cleveland

Less then a week remains until The Gladiators Fighting Series returns to Cleveland with another action packed fight card. Sixteen bouts are currently scheduled for February 18th’s line up set for the Gray’s Armory in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

Josh “Heavy” Hendricks (11-4) will make his return to Cleveland as he shoots for his fifth straight win. A two time NCAA All-American wrestler, Hendricks will be dropping down from super heavyweight to take on Rick McChristian (9-5) in a heavyweight co-main event. McChristian will be making his return to the cage after nearly five years away from the sport and will be looking to re-establish himself with a win over Hendricks.

In the co-main event, Cleveland’s own Jason “Dynamite” Dent (14-6) looks to follow up on an impressive performance during last September’s Fight Nite in the Flats when he clashes with the well rounded Clint Zeedyk (8-4). Zeedyk will look to put himself in the lightweight mix with a win over Dent as the winner likely fights for the GFS Lightweight title this June. Dent and Zeedyk will both be featured live on this Wednesday nights broadcast of PKW LIVE to preview their upcoming bout.

Peak Submission’s Allan Weickert (7-2), who went toe-to-toe in his last Cleveland appearance with K-1 veteran Ben Rothwell, will have his hands full with tough Hammer House product Matt Hershberger (10-9) in a featured light heavyweight clash. Weickert, a veteran of the WEC, will enter the cage at 205 lbs for the first time in his career and for one of the few times as a professional will not have to worry about a disadvantage in either weight or reach.

King of the Cage veteran John Soeder (1-0-1) and Danville, Ohio’s Chris Larkin (5-2-1) will look to settle some unfinished business as they enter the cage on February 18th. Soeder and Larkin battled to a draw at Royce Gracie’s Fightfest last December in what many considered one of the best fights of 2005. Both fighters jumped at the opportunity for a rematch and the chance to finally settle the score in what will no doubt be an explosive match-up of light heavyweight sluggers.

In another of the night’s highly anticipated match ups, “The Apostle” Luke Spencer (10-5) will collide with Team Strong Style’s Arman Loktev (2-0) in a lightweight showdown. Loktev will need another great performance if he hopes to stay undefeated and earn a win over the experienced Spencer who has been in the ring with some of the sport’s best lightweights.

Team BOF’s Jason “Steeltown” Taylor will also look to stay unbeaten when he clashes with Tommy “Gun” Ridenbaugh in another lightweight contender bout, plus the hard hitting Richy Karst will battle the always tough Brandon Lee.

Special guests will include 4-time Kickboxing World Champion Duke Roufus who will serve as guest ring announcer and former King of the Cage HW Champion and Pride Fighting star Dan “The Bull” Bobish among others. “Caged Vengeance” will be held at the historic Gray’s Armory in downtownCleveland and map quest directions to the venue are available on Prokarateweekly.com.
