Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim visits OTM Fight Shop – Las Vegas after his win at UFC 141

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — South Korean UFC star Dong Hyun "Stun Gun" Kim ended 2011 on the right note with a dominant win over Canadian veteran Sean Pierson on Friday night at UFC 141 – Lesnar vs. Overeem. The unanimous decision victory upped "Stun Gun’s" overall MMA record up to an impressive 15-1-1 (1 No Contest) and 6-1 (1 No Contest) inside the UFC.

More importantly, the win allowed "Stun Gun" to bounce back from the first loss of his career to Carlos Condit in July. The win over Pierson also firmly re-established "Stun Gun" back at the top of the UFC’s stacked welterweight division. The 30-year old judoka could now possibly face fellow UFC 141 stand-out Johny Hendricks in a title shot eliminator bout in the first quarter of 2012 in what would be a classic judo vs. wrestling showdown. "Stun Gun" is a 4th degree black belt in judo, while Hendricks is a two-time NCAA Division I national champion in wrestling.

After celebrating his big UFC 141 win on Friday, New Year’s Eve on Saturday, and New Year’s Day on Sunday, "Stun Gun" capped off his eventful Las Vegas weekend with a trip down to the OTM Fight Shop in Las Vegas on Monday with his friends and teammates from Team MAD, which is a well-known MMA fight team based out of Busan, South Korea.

Now that "Stun Gun" and fellow countryman and UFC 140 star Chan Sung "Korean Zombie" Jung are leading the charge for South Korean fighters in the UFC, "Stun Gun" also made sure to mention over the weekend that it won’t be long before other fighters from "The Land of the Morning Calm" join them in MMA’s premier organization.

Specifically, "Stun Gun" noted that his Team MAD teammate and LFC welterweight champion Myung Ho Bae, as well as DEEP featherweight star Doo Ho Choi could likely be joining the "Stun Gun" and "Korean Zombie" in the UFC welterweight and featherweight divisions in the near future.
