A few years ago OTM’s friend Hywel created the website www.trainBJJinRio.com. It was a pet project, intended for nothing more than to be a helping hand for people interested in training jiu-jitsu in Brazil much like how OTM Started.
Hywel put together this little eBook a while back but it never got a proper release. In it, he interviewed nine from around the world who all had one thing in common – they all trained in Rio de Janeiro before the city had really opened up to foreigners.
Spanning between 1988 and 2005, the stories not only show the adventure and excitement that obviously went hand in hand with a trip to Brazil during this era, but also the subsequent effect it had on their lives.
