Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell Return to TV

Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell return to television and a fight between the two would have been a great matchup just a few years ago. The issue is that neither of them are anywhere near fighting shape, but they both have a lot to give back to the young up and coming talent for the UFC. That why the two former champion will return to coach the next season of TUF Latin America.

Neither Liddell of Griffin left employment with the company after both of them were given executive jobs with Zuffa when they retired. Also, while it seems the two are not set to face off in a match it is not out of the realm of possibility as Liddell has made news lately with his beef with former Light-Heavyweight champion and interim title contender Jon Jones. Obviously, Griffin has been less out of the limelight, but there was all rumors of a match between the two. Funny as it is, Liddell coached Griffin in his season of TUF that he won.

Liddell also made a return to the reality program when he was to coach opposite Tito Ortiz in what would be their rubber match in a one-sided rivalry. Ultimately, Ortiz was again injured and out of the fight. Rich Franklin came in to finish the season and knocked Liddell out of the fight and his career.

Despite winning his season of TUF, Griffin also came back to coach. He beat PRIDE superstar Mauricio Shogun Rua and gained a spot of TUF opposite then champion Quinton Rampage Jackson. The two face d off at the end of the season and win gave Griffin the belt, the first TUF champion to do so. he lost the belt in the next fight that started a 3-3 skid that ended his career. Ironically, his last three wins came over ice Franklin and Tito Ortiz twice. Now, he will have a chance to prove himself the better coach when he meets up with Liddell for the third season of TUF Latin America.
